Well, I found and tried this: http://www.killertechtips.com/2009/05/05/disable-driver-signing-windows-7/
which puts Windows 7 permanently in test mode. It didn't help.
I was afraid I would be stuck in test mode forever but luckily I found a way to get Windows out of it here:

I give up and will continue to use my old XP computer to program the Pro-bot.
Maybe some day Conrad Electronics will come up with a solution. They can't ignore the growing use
of Win 7 64bit forever, can they?
